With the support of Warren Buffett, BYD is rapidly growing abroad, driving up the sales of green cars in Asia, Europe, and Latin America.

The business is currently selling its electric vehicles from Singapore to Sweden, a feat for the Chinese consumer market, after initially exporting new energy vehicles to Norway in 2021.

More than the previous four years combined, BYD sold 1.86 million new energy vehicles in 2017. The business expects to sell 3.7 million all-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles in 2018.
