Cable giant raises broadband internet prices
The current escalation in the conflict between cable companies and their telecom rivals has prompted Chapter Communications Inc. to offer a free wireless phone line to select new and existing customers.
The company offers Spectrum One for $50 a month.
Charter expects that a low-cost wireless option would help stop some of the loss of consumers after experiencing a fall in broadband growth as a result of wireless home internet and fiber offerings.
The business offers Spectrum One, a $50 monthly service that includes one cell line and Internet access.
Chris Winfrey, the business’s chief operating officer, asserted that Spectrum One “has the power to accelerate the incremental expansion of the Internet.”
