To prevent major technological platforms from controlling the industry, the US Federal Trade Commission is closely monitoring advancements in artificial intelligence.
According to FTC Chair Lina Khan, “We have to be very attentive to make sure that AI is not just another site for huge firms.”
The FTC launches an investigation into cloud computing.
Businesses that provide AI tools must be careful not to exaggerate or misrepresent the capabilities of their goods, and they must be held accountable if the technologies they develop are intended to deceive, according to Khan.
The FTC, which upholds laws governing consumer and competition protection, initiated a cloud computing probe this month to learn more about data security and business competition.
